UC Berkeley Will Increase Financial Aid to Middle Class UC Berkeley announced plans to increase financial aid to students from middle class households earning $80,000 to $140,000 per year. The new program will start for the fall semester of 2012 and provide annual grants of between $3,000 and $12,000 depending on the household income.
